The Disco Biscuits, by Ben Howard.

The “Disco Biscuits” genre of music is called “dubbed trance fusion”. The band members include Allen Aucoin (drums), Marc Brownstein (bass), Jon Gutwillig (guitar), and Aron Magner (keyboard). They met during college at the University of Pennsylvania and their first show was on 4th of July in 1995. After a few years of becoming popular with the fans, they eventually started holding a festival called Camp Bisco, which brought similar genre of bands.

During 2000, Brownstein, the drummer left the band and started playing with other bands, one of which was “Electron”. After their drummer left, the skill and sound of the music was not up to par so they tried to switch it up by inviting DJs and other bassists, like Jordan Crisman, to their shows. It was labeled that “there is no “Disco Biscuits” without Marc Brownstein”, so in 2001 at a concert in Santa Cruz, California, Brownstein opened up the show and got the crowd pumped.

The “Disco Biscuits” have also played at festivals such as Jam on the River, Bonnaroo, Gathering of the Vibes, All Good Music Festival, and many more. The band also has had a few side projects in the past as well. The “Conspirator” is a mixture of band members from The “Disco Biscuits” and Umphrey’s McGee. The latest news on the “Disco Biscuits” is that they are going to put on a killer show down at Ultrafest in Florida!
